Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, and maintaining internal controls and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
- Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
- Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
- SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- Adeptness in month end closings
- General familiarity with Accrual Accounting
- General Journal experience preferred
- Expertise in Account Balance
- Journal Entry experience
- Practical knowledge of financial analysis
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP Accounting
- Comprehensive knowledge of account analysis
- Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience
- Ability to work well with functional department managers
