Job Summary:

Brightshores is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Float Pool team. As a member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will provide care to patients with stable and predictable outcomes, promoting health and assessing, providing care for, and treating health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide patient care
  • Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with stable and predictable outcomes
  • Promote health and prevent illness through supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative means
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • RPN Certificate of Competence with the Ontario College of Nurses
  • Ability to work at full scope of practice
  • Physical Assessment Course or equivalent
  • Competency in aseptic technique, urinary catheterization, administration of medications, IV therapy, POCT
  • Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
  • Adherence to Brightshores 'CARE' Behaviours and 'LEAD' Competencies
