Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Brightshores. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine activities of patient care, including personal care, mobility, and hygiene.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Participate in cross-functional duties and contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress.

Requirements

  • Certificate of Completion of the Personal Support Worker Program from a recognized Community College or equivalent experience and education.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Recent experience working in a healthcare facility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Infection Control Practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
