Job Title: Medical Microbiologist - Laboratory Medicine Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Microbiologist to join our team at Alberta Precision Laboratories. As a Medical Microbiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders, conducting medical research, and supervising laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
  • Supervise laboratory activities
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures

Requirements:

  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
  • Specialty residency training
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
