About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Supervisor to join our team at Dairy Queen Grill & Chill. As a key member of our culinary operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and food service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective work schedules to meet business needs.
- SUPERVISE AND COORDINATE THE ACTIVITIES OF STAFF WHO PREPARE AND PORTION FOOD, TRAINING THEM IN JOB DUTIES, SANITATION, AND SAFETY PROCEDURES TO ENSURE FOOD AND SERVICE MEET QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS.
- Evaluate food quality and prepare summaries for the chef.
- Hire, train, and develop food service staff.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports on key performance indicators.
- Ensure the assembly and delivery of food trolleys and trays meets high standards.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a unit supervisor or equivalent role in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a fast-paced food service environment with frequent interaction with customers and colleagues. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include opportunities for career growth and development, a positive and supportive work environment, and access to exclusive employee discounts.
