About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Category Insights Analyst to join our team at DPC Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. As a Category Insights Analyst, you will play a key role in driving profitable category growth for our company and our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Insights and Strategy Manager in developing and implementing category growth strategies
  • Update period-end templates, scorecards, and tracking reports to ensure accurate and timely insights
  • Manage the delivery of scheduled outputs and maintain a library of insights to inform business decisions
  • Leverage multiple data sources, including NielsenIQ, Retailer POS, and consumer data, to extract consumer, shopper, category, and market insights
  • Provide presentation support for the Insight & Strategy Manager and drive retail category growth by leveraging insights and recommending action
  • Support foodservice growth by identifying relevant industry/menu trends and highlighting business opportunities
  • Provide support to the Sales team for ad hoc requests, including item ranks, customer/category updates, distribution reports, and planograms
  • Demonstrate a high level of credibility and standards of accuracy in all aspects of the role
  • Continuously improve reporting effectiveness through new tools and automation
Requirements
  • University degree in Business or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of analytic experience within the CPG industry
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) with the ability to quickly learn new programs
  • Strong analytical skills to examine data and identify trends
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Solid business acumen and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated data (NielsenIQ)
  • Knowledge of retailer POS is an asset
  • Good understanding of Canadian Retail and Foodservice Markets
