Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological services, including assessment, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and behavior management interventions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments, utilizing standardized and evidence-based interview and assessment procedures.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating psychological assessment results with the broader treatment plan.
  • Provide evidence-based individual short-term therapy/counseling interventions.
  • Participate in client conferences and team meetings, communicating pertinent information to all disciplines involved.
  • Support an interdisciplinary approach to client care, ensuring coordination of services/programs with community agencies, other healthcare providers, and special interest groups.
  • Provide consultation to the treatment team, clients, family, and/or community personnel, regarding management and/or treatment of mental, behavioral, adjustment, and psychosocial disorders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and appropriateness of treatment and resources, assessing client functioning, identifying opportunities for change, and formulating recommendations for quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including those with mental health issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
