We are seeking a skilled Construction Specialist to join our team at Friends Concrete Cutting Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Load, unload, and transport construction materials with precision and efficiency.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure a safe working environment.
- Instruct apprentices in the proper techniques and procedures for construction tasks.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs to ensure structural integrity.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a stable foundation.
- Pave and rake asphalt to create a smooth surface.
- Assist in demolishing buildings in a safe and controlled manner.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
- Perform routine maintenance work to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to optimize performance.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Will train individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.
This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 35 to 40 hours per week. The work environment is outdoors, underground, and in noisy, dusty, and hot conditions. A criminal record check is required for this position.
