The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, experience in leading a cybersecurity program, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and manage the security auditing and assessment program, ensuring alignment with the university's cybersecurity strategy and risk management framework.
- Establish auditing and assessment processes to ensure all digital solutions meet cybersecurity requirements.
- Monitor the digital ecosystem for malware, suspicious activity, and breaches, and participate in incident response efforts.
- Develop and implement patch management schedules to ensure systems are continuously protected.
- Collaborate with the centralized security services team to identify and select appropriate cybersecurity monitoring tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, with 1 year in a recent leadership role with direct responsibility for a cybersecurity program.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a cybersecurity program, conducting audits and assessments, and writing STRA reports.
- Industry relevant designations such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ITIL, TOGAF.
- Experience with the ITIL framework and ITSM best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Demonstrated knowledge of vulnerability and patch management, security auditing and assessment of cloud solutions, and privacy.
- Broad technical knowledge relating to cybersecurity practices, including patching, firewalls, network configurations, phishing, and software deployment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
