Job Summary:

Challenger Geomatics, a leading employee-owned land surveying firm, is seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to join our team in Alberta. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for collecting data in the field and collaborating with our experienced project managers on various survey assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all client objectives are met.
  • Provide necessary documentation to office staff, including field notes, computations, and other survey data.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Perform all health and safety duties as identified in the company's safety procedures.
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS/GNSS Rovers, Total Stations, Locators, etc.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Geomatics or a related discipline, along with previous survey experience.
  • Experience in the energy sector or construction is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Any valid safety certificates, such as H2S, First Aid, CSTS, or Wildlife Awareness, are an asset.
  • Physical fitness, as the Survey Party Chief will work outdoors in challenging conditions, often carrying equipment over long distances.
