About Guide Woodworking Inc.

We are a custom cabinet shop and millwork company seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality wooden products, from custom cabinets to millwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Woodworking Machines: Safely operate various woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Study Plans and Specifications: Carefully study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assemble and Finish Products: Trim joints, fit parts and subassemblies together, and reinforce joints to form complete units. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Custom cabinet shop and millwork environment.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
