About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Mar-Tec Woodworking LTD. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality custom cabinets and furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, and trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Finishing and Assembly: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other workers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in cabinetmaking and furniture fabrication.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
