Job Title: Senior Claim Advocate

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claim Advocate to join our Reinsurance team in Toronto. As a key member of our client services team, you will be responsible for managing reinsurance assets, collaborating with sales teams, and providing world-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in notifications and explanations to reinsurers of individually reported claims, complex claims, and/or catastrophe claims
  • Manage reinsurance assets of valued clients, including Fortune 500 companies
  • Work closely with sales teams to provide exceptional customer experience
  • Support clients as a dedicated advocate, ensuring timely and accurate claim management
  • Opportunity to travel domestically to client offices to manage and coordinate claim audits
  • Assist with complex coverage issues and resolving differences by providing contract interpretation, claim information, and potential negotiations
  • Help reinsurers understand claims and claim issues across multiple lines of business
  • Develop communication skills, present information, and organize critical claim meetings
  • Attend industry conferences and stay up-to-date on industry developments
  • Assist clients and client's insureds with large catastrophe events
  • Secure millions of dollars in collections for clients every year
  • Be part of a team managing over $20B in ceded reserves per year
  • Manage collateral on behalf of clients, often in excess of multiple millions of dollars per year
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or equivalent experience
  • Insurance and/or Reinsurance claims experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Strong attention to detail and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
