Woodworking Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter-joiner to join our team at Iron Home Renovation Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

The Carpenter-joiner will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to woodworking, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a noisy, dusty, and outdoors environment
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The Carpenter-joiner will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a physically demanding environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
