Woodworking Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter-joiner to join our team at Iron Home Renovation Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

The Carpenter-joiner will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to woodworking, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to handle heavy loads
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
