Job Summary

Campbell River Christian School is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Assistant to join our team. As a Special Education Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support the educational, spiritual, and character development of students with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with IEPs in a classroom setting, implementing tasks and instructional practices programmed by the designated teacher.
  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers and the Special Education Director to ensure student needs are met.
  • Assist with student records and attendance, and participate in staff, SPED, or Parent meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the SPED Director or Vice-Principal or Principal.
Requirements
  • Educational Assistant certificate or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Willingness to uphold the school's and ACSI's Statements of Faith.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
