About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Ignite Construction. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and building foundations, walls, and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Judgement and team player skills
- Ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights
- Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety vest
