About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Payments Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architecting secure cloud solutions by designing scalable cloud architectures and implementing robust disaster recovery practices;
  • Drive operational excellence by enhancing monitoring, optimizing performance, and implementing logging and alerting;
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with organizational goals;
  • Provide infrastructure-related support to stakeholders and contribute to documentation;
  • Innovate and learn by identifying and implementing new cloud solutions and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure services, software development, or a related field;
  • Experience in technical activities related to infrastructure design and operations in a cloud-centric environment;
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure;
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Terraform;
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization;
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and load balancing;
  • Production experience gathering, digesting, and improving monitoring and performance metrics.
