Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Business Solutions Analyst to join our team in Burnaby. As a key member of our business analysis team, you'll play a critical role in translating business objectives into actionable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business users and the information services division, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Mentor junior analysts and coordinate business analysis activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance operations, ensuring that technical solutions meet all defined requirements and are aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure BCAA's system needs are met, and changes are delivered on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 software (Excel, Word, Teams, etc) as well as the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with various system development lifecycles (e.g., waterfall model, Agile) is essential.
  • Proficient in formal software testing approaches and methodologies, with demonstrated experience in providing direction and coaching to others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Business Analysis in Salesforce and Integrations.
  • Expertise in data modeling using relational databases and advanced SQL skills.
  • PMP certification.
  • IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) certification.
