We are seeking a Safety Advisor to join our team at BrandSafway. As a leading global provider of access, specialized services, and forming and shoring solutions, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and Mitigate Hazards: Conduct field observations, audits, and inspections to detect potential hazards and areas for improvement in the workplace.
- Counsel and Guide Employees and Management: Provide expert guidance on safety compliance issues and safe product applications to ensure a culture of safety within the organization.
- Investigate Incidents: Thoroughly investigate incidents involving company property, employees, or subcontractors, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate Medical Response: Facilitate transportation of injured or ill employees to medical facilities, collaborating with medical providers and AlumaSafway's Risk Management Department to ensure adherence to return-to-work protocols.
- Deliver Training Programs: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees, ensuring they receive the necessary safety skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Support Safety Initiatives: Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of safety initiatives, meeting customer requirements as needed.
- NCSO designation is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in safety, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Ability to climb structural stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and enter confined spaces on job sites.
- Working knowledge of current construction and general industry safety regulations, with the ability to analyze and interpret data for the safety of employees, job sites, and the branch.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently or as part of a team.
