Position Summary

Acuren is seeking a professional, energetic, and forward-thinking Field Safety Advisor to support our operations at Suncor Refinery (Edmonton) and Methanex (Medicine Hat). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing division within Acuren. Are you passionate about safety? Project Based/Outage:

- Call Out/Project based
- Project starting April 2025
- Duration approx. 1 month with potential to expand to other projects after
- Project-based work with varying rotations
- Locals preferred

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the supervision, coordination, and administration of safety on project site(s).
- Responsible for carrying out inspections and audits of the workplace.
- Proactively promote our safety culture through toolbox meetings, and safety awareness.
- Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations; and be an effective negotiator, that uses logic and reason to persuade and influence others to find the solutions that everyone will accept.

Requirements

- NCSO Certificate, OH&S Certificate, or Diploma required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a field safety-related discipline
- Proven track record in safety management processes (e.g., participation in safety committees, working groups, audits, and inspections in heavy industrial environments)
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract required
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of NDE/NDT and Rope Access (considered an asset)
- Heavy industrial operations experience (an asset)
