Job Title: AZ Operator, Emergency Response

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AZ Operator to join our Emergency Response division in Moose Creek, ON. As an AZ Operator, you will play a critical role in transporting, removing, delivering, and collecting various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport and handle hazardous materials in accordance with regulations and company policies
  • Respond to emergency incidents, including environmental and industrial spills, clandestine laboratory decommissioning, and highway incidents
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and other equipment as required
  • Work collaboratively with police, fire, EMS, Environment Canada, and other stakeholders to respond to incidents
  • Participate in job-specific and health & safety training as required
  • Complete work-related documentation and reporting

Requirements:

  • High School diploma minimum
  • Certification from a recognized Truck Driving School
  • Valid Commercial AZ License
  • Overtime as required
  • Weekend work may be required, on-call schedule in effect on a weekly basis
