Materials Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Materials Laboratory Technician to join our team at Englobe. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for receiving and recording field samples, conducting laboratory testing, and communicating results to clients and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and recording field samples for testing and holding
- Conducting asphalt laboratory testing to match current NBDTI requirements
- Performing laboratory testing of soils and Portland cement concrete samples according to relevant ASTM, AASHTO, MTO, CSA, or other applicable test standards
- Field inspection, sampling, and testing of aggregates, asphalt, and Portland cement concrete
- Communicating results effectively with clients and Englobe supervisors
- Maintaining proper records of field test results for review and subsequent submissions
- Applying and promoting Englobe's health and safety rules
Requirements
- Technical degree or diploma in civil engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar engineering field
- Team-oriented and excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's license and submission of driver's abstract
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout New Brunswick on an as-required basis
