Job Title: Teradata Platform Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Teradata Platform Administrator to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Teradata systems, including backup and recovery, database performance tuning, and system security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer Teradata systems, including configuration, backup, and recovery.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and data exchange.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Teradata technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience with Teradata systems, including TTU, Teradata Studio, and BTEQ.
  • Strong understanding of database backup and recovery processes, including DSA Backup and Data Mover.
  • Experience with TASM portlets, workload management, and alert configurations.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning, including system configurations, stats, and indexes.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex database issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Teradata support teams to resolve issues.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with shell scripts and Python programming languages.
