Position Summary: The Head of Risk Management and Asset Strategy will collaborate closely with the Treasurer to enhance Momentum's capital framework through comprehensive financial planning and analytical initiatives concerning the company's debt facilities and asset-backed funding strategies aimed at supporting future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Treasurer and broader teams to structure, analyze, model, and execute asset-backed funding.
  • Continuously assess opportunities to improve funding economics and efficiency, including enhancements to existing facilities and the development of alternative funding strategies.
  • Assist in the launch of new funding facilities and asset-backed programs, establishing effective processes and building necessary internal and external reporting tools to monitor performance.
  • Prepare detailed performance packages for lenders, rating agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct cash flow modeling and data analysis, including statistical stratification of collateral and historical performance metrics.
  • Become a subject matter expert on unsecured collateral performance and facility structures.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate borrowing base reporting, assisting in the execution of debt draws and repayments.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses for lenders from extensive data sets, including vintage and static pool analyses.
  • Collaborate with internal risk management and analytics teams to prepare necessary analyses for lenders and audit programs.
  • Manage the process of reviewing and commenting on Agreed Upon Procedure (AUP) engagements with auditors.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, control deficiencies, and documentation gaps.
  • Review documentation for alignment with facility operations and participate in drafting sessions and amendments.
  • Capture key terms, concentrations, covenants, and thresholds from credit agreements for precise internal reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage foreign currency and interest rate exposures through necessary hedging activities.
  • Implement procedural and policy updates to ensure compliance with corporate risk and audit guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to established internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, accounting, or finance; MBA, CFA, FRM, or CPA is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Capital Markets, Securitization, or Finance.
  • Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in Capital Markets, Financing, or Treasury, with exposure to warehouse financing and asset-backed securities.
  • Strong data analysis skills complemented by proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in preparing numerical data sets for lender review and addressing lender inquiries.
  • Advanced analytical skills, particularly in cash flow modeling and financial statistics.
  • Experience in reviewing lending agreements and familiarity with securitization legal documents.
  • Comfortable using derivatives for hedging interest rate risks related to funding programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA), coding (Python, SQL), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with senior management.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the capability to prioritize and manage competing demands.
  • Self-motivated with high personal standards for work quality.
