Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Batching Supervisor to join our team at Lafarge Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant, ensuring delivery of quality product, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of the batch plant.
- Responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw materials as required for production, and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Manage inventory of materials and products, physical inventory counts, order materials, and ensure payroll is accurate.
- Track performance, establish effective action plans, and continuously improve operations to maximize turns per day and per truck.
- Maintain the plant in accordance with standard guidelines and ensure all policies are followed.
Qualification Profile
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in the ready mix business is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organization and planning skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in a busy environment.
- Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and SAP.
- Self-motivated and available to work overtime as needed.
