Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at Heeman Greenhouses Limited. As a key member of our floriculture production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and quality of our plants, ensuring timely harvesting and delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and harvest horticultural crops in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth
  • Mix and prepare soils to optimize plant growth
  • Plant bulbs and seeds, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
  • Apply fertilizers and report signs of insect or disease damage
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Clean work areas and equipment
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Fluency in English
Work Environment

Our greenhouse production facility is located in a rural area, and the successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
