We are seeking a skilled VFX Artist to join our team at Brass Lion Entertainment. As a VFX Artist, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the player's experience through visually stunning effects.

Your Role

You will work closely with our Art and Design teams to implement VFX into all aspects of our upcoming Action-RPG title. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Defining the Look and Feel of VFX: You will be responsible for establishing the visual identity of our VFX, ensuring consistency and coherence throughout the game.
  • Building All VFX Needs: You will create a wide range of VFX, including combat, gameplay, environmental, and other essential elements that enhance the player's experience.
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration: As a key member of our team, you must possess excellent communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with colleagues across various disciplines.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ Years of Experience in VFX for Games
  • Strong Background in Real-Time Particle Engines, Geometric, and Shader FX, as demonstrated by a robust portfolio showcasing your expertise.
  • Deep Understanding of Color Theory, Composition, Timing, and Motion, allowing you to craft visually striking VFX that engage players.
  • Strong Game Design Sense, enabling you to refine VFX based on player feedback and optimize their impact on the game experience.
  • Texture Creation Expertise, including hand-crafted textures, simulations, and procedural techniques.
  • Flexibility in Adapting to Art Styles and Direction, ensuring seamless integration with our team's vision.
  • Ability to Collaborate with Cross-Disciplinary Teams, including art, design, programming, and audio, to drive exceptional results.
  • Location and Authorization for Work in the US or Canada

  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Background in Manga, Comics, and Anime Design Elements
  • Hand-Drawn or Stylized VFX Experience
  • Outsourcing VFX Experience
  • Accessibility Feature Implementation
  • 5+ Years of VFX Experience

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $70,000 and $110,000, depending on location and experience.
