About the Role

MT Talent Solutions Inc. is partnering with a leading consulting engineering and construction company to fill a dynamic Senior Project Manager position in their Greater Toronto Area operations.

The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in the company's expansion in Canada, combining technical expertise in water and wastewater project management with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage significant water and wastewater projects across the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding municipalities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with client project managers, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality management.
  • Collaborate with the local executive team and corporate sales and marketing team to prepare proposals and engage with clients to foster business development and enhance reputation.
  • Participate in networking opportunities, including involvement with professional societies within the industry.
  • Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring to engineering staff to strengthen the water services capabilities in Ontario.
  • Offer technical support, project management assistance, and quality management services for projects in Ontario and at times throughout North America.
  • Maintain rich, positive working relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Support operational duties, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • At least 12 years of experience in project management and technical project delivery for municipal water projects.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Ontario (P.Eng) is required.
  • PMP, CCM, or DBIA certification.
  • Business development experience, including proposal creation and cost estimates for municipal projects.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, with a valid passport required.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, project management software, industry-specific software, CRM, and/or ERP systems.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables.
