Job Title: Millwright

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at a leading environmental group in Hamilton. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Inspect and examine machinery and heavy equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Fabricate parts required for maintenance or setup
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a schedule determined by need
  • Read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Operate machines including conveyors, grinders, hoppers, pumps, valves, blowers, and vacuums
  • Coordinate and work with service contractors when needed
  • Keep track of and order parts as needed
  • Participate in H&S meetings, monthly inspections, and comply with OHSA regulations
Requirements:
  • 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings
  • Previous experience with heavy equipment, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA controls
  • Welding and fabrication skills an asset
  • Able to maintain service standards and complete work orders
