Key Responsibilities- Develop and Communicate a High-Quality Visual Style: Work closely with the Product Art Director to identify and communicate a high-quality visual style that aligns with our company's vision.
- Lead and Mentor a Team of Artists: Direct and mentor a worldwide team of artists, delivering effective feedback across all art disciplines, including modeling, animation, and more.
- Interpret Development Needs into Amazing Artwork: Interpret the needs of all development disciplines, such as design and engineering, into amazing final artwork that meets our company's standards.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with the Product and IP teams on themes and cosmetic sets to ensure a cohesive and engaging experience for our users.
- Design and Iterate Unique and Stunning Designs: Create and iterate unique and stunning designs within a determined production schedule, pushing the visual envelope and exceeding expectations.
- Experience as an Art Director in a Game Studio: Proven experience as an art director in a game studio, with a deep understanding of the game development process and art disciplines.
- Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills to lead a large number of people toward a singular vision, with excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Collaborative Nature: A strong collaborative nature to partner with senior art directors and discipline leads, with the ability to adapt to and innovate new styles and techniques.
- Experience Directing and Supporting Artists: Experience directing and supporting artists across multiple disciplines, with a strong understanding of art fundamentals, multiple art styles, anatomy, and appeal.
- Color Theory and Aesthetics: A strong understanding of color theory and how color affects mood and focal points, with a focus on modern fashion-forward aesthetics.
