Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (La commission scolaire du Nunavik) is seeking an experienced Education Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Education Specialist will work closely with post-secondary students to provide academic support and guidance to help them achieve their educational goals. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of programs of study and training, provide advice to teachers and administrators, and develop training and instrumentation activities to support pedagogical adaptation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs of study and training
  • Provide academic support and guidance to post-secondary students
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Develop and deliver training and instrumentation activities to support pedagogical adaptation and innovation
  • Collaborate with school resources and partner organizations to advance issues related to Inuit post-secondary education
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in education, administration, social sciences, or a related field. Fluency in two of the three official languages of the board (Inuktitut, English, French) is required. The ability to travel to Nunavik and work independently is also essential.

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (La commission scolaire du Nunavik) offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 20 days paid vacation, 2-week paid holiday period, free parking, and employee and family assistance program. The successful candidate may also be eligible for additional benefits, such as summer schedule, northern premium, food transportation allocation, paid relocation benefits, retention and attraction premium, and up to three (3) round trips to and from Nunavik.
