Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Affinity Search's client, you'll play a key role in leading mechanical projects, providing design strategies, and mentoring junior engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of varying complexities;">
  • Leading design strategies and concept development;">
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to intermediate and junior engineers;">
  • Conducting audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations;">
  • Developing mechanical design standards and practices;">
  • Troubleshooting construction issues;">
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines;">
  • Conducting site visits and construction phase services;">
">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

">
  • ">
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building services;">
  • An engineering license in Ontario with at least 5 years of Canadian experience;">
  • Design experience with central plant systems (hot water, steam, chilled water);">
  • Knowledge of DDC control systems and sequencing;">
  • Familiarity with OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards;">
  • Experience in multiple industries (commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, etc.);">
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;">
  • The ability to multitask and work under deadlines;">
