Accounts Payable Manager

At Joe Johnson Equipment Inc., we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and supervising a team of six accounts payable associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor management
- Supervise and train a team of six accounts payable associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance goals
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, practices, and procedures, and maintain accurate and timely financial statements
- Develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
- Collaborate with various departments to address approval delays and ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Post-secondary advanced diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a finance team, preferably in accounts payable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with exceptional Excel skills
- Experience working with a fully integrated ERP system or accounting software
