Accounts Payable Manager

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This role involves supervising a team of six accounts payable associates, maintaining compliance with accounting principles, and managing vendor relationships.
About the Role:
- Lead a team of accounts payable professionals to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve the accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to address approval delays and ensure timely payment processing.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary advanced diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CPA designation is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a finance team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with exceptional Excel skills.
- Experience working with a fully integrated ERP system or accounting software.
