About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Designer to join our team at Northcott Silk Inc. As a Fabric Designer, you will be responsible for designing settings, scenic environments, costumes, and lighting for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop fabric settings, scenic environments, costumes, and lighting for exhibits, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current design trends, technologies, and industry standards.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure timely and high-quality production of fabric designs.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on industry developments to ensure our designs remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in fabric design or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio of fabric design work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors.
