Plant Operations Manager

As a Plant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant. This includes supervising concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance to ensure delivery of quality product, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Responsible for ensuring safety guidelines are followed by employees on a daily basis.
- Batching: In a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw materials as required for production, and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product to meet customers' requirements on a daily basis.
- HR/Coaching & Mentoring: Report to the Manager regarding situations that require disciplinary actions. Foster an effective environment for employee relations. Ensure employees have a daily job list and inform them of any irregular work hours.
- Environment: Demonstrate a commitment to meet/exceed environmental compliance. Have an understanding of the procedures for environmental issues such as spills, dust control, truck idling, etc. are outlined in the EMS manual.
- Reporting: Maintain an accurate account of the volume sold, rejected, and resold on a daily basis. Submit reports on time to the area administrator. Submit Quality Control reports on a monthly basis to the Quality Control Manager.
Qualification Profile:
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in the ready mix business preferred.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Good organization and planning skills.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain composure in a busy environment.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP, Command-Alkon).
- Self-motivated.
- Available to work overtime as needed.
- Customer service-oriented.
