As a Histotechnologist, you will play a crucial role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, aiding in the diagnosis of diseases. Key Responsibilities:
- Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control to guarantee accurate results.
- Assist pathologists in diagnosing diseases by preparing high-quality samples.
- Document and record laboratory procedures and results accurately, providing valuable insights for future reference.
- Stay informed about new histology techniques and methodologies to enhance your skills and contribute to the advancement of the field.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in histotechnology or a related field.
- Certification by a recognized body, such as the ASCP.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity to handle delicate tissue samples.
