About the Role:
The Virtual Recruiter will be responsible for actively recruiting child care staff, managing and maintaining the interview process, and onboarding staff to meet the demands of Sentient's continual growth in markets across Ontario. This is a part-time position, requiring 10-15 hours of work per week, with an hourly rate of $18.00 + commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a recruitment strategy for each search, focused on overall talent, which includes sourcing strategy, selection criteria, identification and management of recruitment tools, recruitment procedures and processes, and onboarding programs.
- Manage the recruitment process from end to end, to achieve excellence in time-to-fill, quality of hire, and overall results within budget.
- Interview candidates, conduct reference checks, create offers, negotiate with candidates, and help liaise with onboarding by managing communication between the Operation Team (OT), candidate, and Talent Manager.
- Manage all recruitment software and tools. Build a talent pool and leverage software and tools as a means for building employment branding to attract and retain top-tier talent.
- Coordinate and participate in Campus Recruitment to build a talent pipeline for Sentient HR.
- Manage relationships with universities and colleges and participate in on-campus initiatives including but not limited to recruitment initiatives, career fairs, branding events, social events, etc.
- Perform administrative duties such as document collection, maintaining trackers, creating reports, and dashboards regarding talent acquisition to ensure continued improvement within recruitment activities.
Qualifications:
- Completion of college diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Minimum of six (6) months related to full cycle recruitment, including working in a fast, changing environment.
- Must have a current clear Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad Human Resources issues.
- Ability to maintain awareness of industry-related policies, procedures, and protocols in child care.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, driven by results, high performance, and collaboration. Proactively takes initiative and fosters the development of key relationships.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft products and Applicant Tracking System (ATS); with advanced skills in using Indeed and LinkedIn for direct sourcing.
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment.
- Occasional travel beyond normal commute to sites across GTHA.
