Job Summary:

The Fitness Class Instructor is a key member of the Fitness World team, responsible for delivering high-quality fitness classes that exceed member expectations. This role requires a strong passion for fitness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a motivating and engaging class environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrive on time to welcome fitness class participants and answer questions, ensuring a smooth and efficient class start.
  • Clean all equipment and shared touchpoints used by you before and after each class, and instruct participants to do the same, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Conduct fitness classes according to the designated format, adapting exercises as needed to meet the diverse needs of participants.
  • Demonstrate proper exercise technique and equipment usage, enforcing safety policies and procedures to minimize the risk of injury and providing first aid when necessary.
  • Address member concerns in a timely and professional manner, following company policies and procedures, and reporting incidents to the General Manager.
  • Identify and address cleanliness, health, and safety concerns, and report incidents to the General Manager.
  • Participate in internal fitness education programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities, staying up-to-date with the latest fitness trends and best practices.
  • Foster strong relationships with other departments and functional areas, such as member service and personal training, to provide a seamless member experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
