Strategic Financial Director

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Director to join our team at Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory.

This senior finance management position will oversee all financial functions, ensuring that finances are managed according to legislation, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, commerce, or business management/administration, with experience in conducting financial analysis and risk management.

• Develop, implement, and monitor a coordinated strategic financial plan for WUT
• Provide consultative support to department directors and managers for planning initiatives
• Oversee and present the annual budget to the Director of Operations and Chief and Council
• Analyze and interpret financial data to maximize overall financial performance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A university degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business Management/Administration
• Postgraduate in business administration is an asset
• Chartered professional accounting (CPA) designation in good standing with CPA Ontario or Certified Aboriginal Financial Management (CAFM) designation preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience in a senior finance management position

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
