GIS System Architect Opportunity

Protak Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced GIS System Architect to lead a new full-time, on-site government project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend a kick-off meeting with key stakeholders to collect information and discuss requirement priorities within a specified timeframe.
  • Provide operational, technical, and analytical expertise to GIS projects, including creating and presenting recommendations for cloud-based architecture.
  • Develop and provide project documentation, including build books, run books, and project specifications.
  • Contribute to implementation planning and respond to and resolve incidents as they occur.
  • Provide draft and final presentations of cloud-based solutions for approval.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports detailing the status of deliverables.
Requirements:
  • A University degree or College diploma related to Geomatics, GIS, Geography, or another relevant field is required.
  • Professional certifications related to Geomatics or GIS systems are an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a GIS System Architect is required, with a minimum of 2 non-concurrent GIS System Architect projects completed within the last 60 months.
  • Experience as a Lead Architect on GIS architecture solutions projects is required.
  • A minimum of 60 months' experience within the last 10 years in IT project experience, Project Management, GIS web application design, Relational database architecture and design, GIS solutions development (on premise) and GIS solutions development (in Cloud) is required.
  • 10 years of experience within the last 15 years providing architecture services, including designing, implementing, and operational handover for GIS projects, is required.
Security Clearance:

A minimum security clearance level of Reliability Status is required. Please note that if you do not already have an active valid security clearance, your application will not be considered.
