Integrated Resource Planning Manager

FortisBC is seeking a forward-thinking Integrated Resource Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of energy in British Columbia.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of energy industry issues impacting long-term utility planning. This includes preparing reports and regulatory submissions for FortisBC's Long-Term Resource Plans, obtaining senior executive approval for submission to and review by the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) review.
As a successful candidate, you will have a bachelor's degree in resource planning, economics, environmental studies, engineering, policy, business, or a related discipline, plus a minimum of five years of recent and related experience. A valid B.C. driver's license is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of energy industry issues impacting long-term utility planning.
- Prepare reports and regulatory submissions for FortisBC's Long-Term Resource Plans.
- Successfully lead the BCUC regulatory proceeding in reviewing the Long-Term Electric Resource Plan.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to complete long-term resource planning and resource development related studies, investigations, and report writing.
- Maintain a detailed technical understanding of forecasting methods and advise senior management and the executive team on long-term forecast methods and results.
- Effectively manage the activities and progress of working groups to complete special projects and initiatives related to the Long-Term Resource Plans.
