Job Overview

Vancouver Coastal Health is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and support services. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment
  • Performing other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Performing other duties related to personal care
  • Serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Weighing, lifting, turning and positioning patients
  • Making beds and maintaining patients' rooms
  • Maintaining inventory of supplies
  • Bathing, dressing and grooming patients
  • Transporting patients between care facilities
  • Transporting patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • Answering call signals to determine patients' needs
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Health Care Aide Certificate
