The Role of Health and Safety Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Toronto. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide expert advice and support to our clients on health and safety matters, including policy development, risk assessment, and compliance with Canadian health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide health and safety advice and support to clients through phone, email, and in-person consultations
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures for clients
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating hazards
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Canadian health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver training programs and materials
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and industry trends

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g. occupational health and safety, business, or a related field)
  • Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g. CRSP, CRST)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a consulting or advisory role
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
