We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler to join our team at S.i. Systèmes. As a key member of our data management team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and regulatory-compliant data solutions for our banking clients.

About the Role:

The Senior Data Modeler will work closely with our clients' diverse banking operations to design and implement data models that support retail and business banking, risk management, and capital markets. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models, developing data integration processes, and ensuring alignment with banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Modelling: Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for banking domains using BIAN modeling standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models for retail banking, business banking, risk, and capital markets.
  • Data Integration: Implement scalable data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  • ETL Processes: Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking regulations and data governance policies, particularly for sensitive data.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior data modelers on data modelling best practices and GCP tools.
  • Documentation: Document data architecture, including BIAN mappings and GCP implementations.
  • Data Performance: Monitor and optimize data performance for banking applications on GCP.

What You'll Need:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in data modelling and architecture, specifically within banking domains such as retail banking, business banking, risk, and capital markets.
  • Expert knowledge of data modelling tools, techniques, and BIAN modelling standards.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, for data warehousing and analytics.
  • In-depth understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.

Salary Estimate: Based on industry standards and market conditions, we estimate the salary for this role to be around $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
