Superintendent of Education

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced education professional to fill the role of Superintendent. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in education leadership, with a proven track record of success in senior education administration or equivalent leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the education department
- Develop and implement education policies and programs
- Collaborate with school administrators and teachers to improve student outcomes
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of funds
- Build relationships with Indigenous peoples, organizations, and communities
- Master's Degree in Education or related field
- Minimum of five years experience in Senior Education Administration or equivalent leadership experience
- Additional five years experience in K-12 teaching/administration
- Deep understanding and experience in assessment practices, curriculum, and learning initiatives
- Experience in the use of data for continuous school improvement
- Experience in fostering respectful learning environments that are inclusive of all people
- Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset
- Knowledge of the British Columbia curriculum would be an asset
We offer a competitive salary range of $159,216 to $201,682, as well as a northern housing allowance, vacation travel allowance, comprehensive total compensation, and benefits package.
