At CANADIAN TIRE GAS+, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our organization to success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience, with a proven track record of allocating resources, coordinating teams, and establishing financial and administrative controls. The COO will be responsible for formulating and approving policies and programs, representing the organization in negotiations, and selecting middle managers and executive staff. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
* Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments
* Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning
* Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
* Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
* Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions

**Requirements:**

* 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
* College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong attention to detail
