Job Title: Truck Driver - Mountain Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Mountain Expert to join our team at DCT Chambers Trucking Ltd. As a Truck Driver - Mountain Expert, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across various routes, including mountainous terrain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor-trailer and transport goods across various routes, including mountainous terrain.
  • Ensure the safe and secure transportation of goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral communication.
  • Flexibility.
  • Judgement.
  • Organized.
  • Reliability.
  • Team player.

Working Conditions:
