**About Cloud Chamber**

We are a dynamic and innovative team at 2K, seeking an accomplished Lead Programmer to spearhead the development of gameplay systems for BioShock 4.

This is a strongly narrative and systemic game that requires a nimble programmer with expertise across all disciplines. As a seasoned leader, you will assist, mentor, and support your team to achieve their respective ambitions.

You will partner closely with Design and Art Leads to advance and implement the vision for the project's overall gameplay systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Serve as Lead Gameplay Programmer for our World Interactive Systems Pod, owning all non-Player and non-AI gameplay systems.
  • Work closely with the Lead Designer and Lead Producer on scheduling, strategy, and support.
  • Coordinate efforts across internal and external development groups, guiding the technical direction of Gameplay across the project.
  • Partner with design, engineering groups, animation, and audio to further the goals of the project.

**Requirements**

  • 10+ years industry or related experience.
  • Previous experience leading a gameplay engineering team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Strong 3D Math skills with expert C/C++ experience.
  • Strong understanding of current data structures, algorithms, and methodologies.
  • Wide range of game application and engine skills (e.g., AI, physics, camera, animation, audio, etc.).
  • Current console experience.
